With a grin she launches into her lessons for the class.
"One of the things of the medicinal field that causes much sorrow is that sometimes, some diseases or injuries are not fixable, not curable, terminal." She closes her eyes and sighs before continuing, "When healers are confronted with this sort of situation, it is all we can do to ease the patient's suffering."
She gestures to the west side of the room, where all the locked cabinets were. "In the furthest left drawer you will find creatures that are locked in a state close to death that need to be eased somehow. When you choose your creature, it will unfreeze, so choose carefully.
This creature WILL die, so trying to prevent that is pointless. You are trying to give it the most peaceful death, and will be graded upon how much pain the creature felt as it passed from this world."
((Ease the pain and suffering of a dying creature. You may pick the disease/injury as well as what the creature actually is))
"This assignment is simple. We've already gone over non-malificence and respect for autonomy with your first two assignments, but I want to make sure you know what the other rules are so that you can disregard them to their fullest extent. If you have any additional rules to add to the traditional ones, or multiple ways to disregard a single rule, then feel free to increase the length of your essay!"
"If you need any suggestions for what you might do you can always ask and I'll help you to the best of my abilities; which, in terms of giving ideas, aren't too shabby~"
((Make your assignment related to physical injuries and/or anesthesia. Ideally you would tie in the two, but so long as it's related to one of the two then it's alright! If you're struggling there's past assignments for the old Physical Injuries and Anesthesia classes, and you can also note me for some additional brainstorming))
"Now now Kyran you can't just skip assignments if you hope to advance!"
"Do try to be quick though, I don't quite remember how much blood is in these and I'd rather not have to find a complete replacement."
((Patch up the mannequin from last month using field supplies (anything that isn't modern doctor tools pretty much, including historical medicinal tools such as pulled cat gut, or potential improvised tools such as fish hooks of all shapes and sizes)
If you complete this assignment before the due date then I will write up a new assignment for you to do))
If you have any questions at all please let me, lizziecat1279 know and I'll do my best to answer them.
For this last semester I can't give any extensions, so make sure you're on time with your assignments! The due date this month is December 24th (the day before Christmas), so keep that in mind.
I can help with assignments as a teacher and a student (so if you need someone to rp with, though student is probably less than ideal for medicine) so please come to me if you need any assistance.
